Money, Money, Money..the SPRIG Professional Development Award

Do you have an idea for a project? Would you like to attend a conference? Are you keen to take part in a study tour or work shadowing, but need financial help to get started?

If this sounds familiar, the SPRIG Professional Development Award may be able to help.

We will award up to £1,000 per year to SPRIG members (including staff and students of organisational members).

The award intends to support staff development in a broad sense. Previous applicants have used the money to attend conferences and study tours, such as Helen Tunstall's ten week world tour of institutions and organisations involved with Sport and Exercise Science.

In a change to the way the award is paid, half of the award amount will be paid within a month of the panel making a decision and the remaining amount will be paid after the event has taken place. All we ask is that you produce a written report for the SPRIG Bulletin to share your experiences and knowledge with other SPIRG members.

For more details, including how to apply for the award, please go to SPRIG and click on the Awards button.
